When you visit the site, we automatically collect:
All submissions go through an admin review process before appearing on the public map. We may approve, modify, or reject any submission at our discretion. If approved, the following information may be published publicly: location, title, observation details, photographs (with all metadata removed), and display name if provided.
Your email address, IP address, and photo metadata are never published publicly.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as race, ethnicity, religion, health data, or immigration status. Please do not include such information in your submissions.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security monitoring. However, no system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We will not voluntarily disclose user information to government or law enforcement agencies without a valid legal process such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant. Where permitted by law, we will attempt to notify affected users before complying.
